Buy porthole photos, support our Sandy recovery
Proceeds support #makeMARYrunagain

Buy photos by our founder and Executive Director Carolina Salguero and help our ship!

Carolina Salguero worked as a photojournalist from the fall of the Berlin Wall through 9/11 in NYC with revolutions, historic events, documentaries and portraits in between. Her clients included National Geographic, Life, The New York Times; and major publications in Europe and Japan.  She won awards, and her work is in the collections of several museums and universities.

She founded award-winning PortSide NewYork, based in Red Hook on the historic oil tanker MARY A. WHALEN from where these photos are made.

After hurricane Sandy, PortSide ran an aid station and helped hundreds of people. PortSide worked for the 11 years since Sandy to help Red Hook recover and be more resilient. Now, PortSide seeks help with our own Sandy recovery project.  Sales of Salguero’s photos supports that work, a project to restore the ship and help #makeMARYrunagain.
