The island world of NYC includes the estuary of the Hudson River and the eastern end of Long Island. It is physically diverse and home to a great amount of nature life.  He is beginning a new, related adventure by producing and directing a three-part documentary series about the island ecology of New York for the German national broadcaster ZDF and the European network ARTE.
