Sail on Clearwater in partnership with PortSide NewYork to observe the Knickerbocker Sailing Association (KSA) 21th Annual Stonewall Sails Regatta. More about that here. KSA is NYC’s LGBT boating organization, boats of all types are welcome as well as sailors without their own boats.
The sail leaves from the Mary Whalen (cross our deck to get to hers). 45 passengers max. Reserve at https://bit.ly/clearwaterPSNY. Once a sail is booked up, it disappears from their calendar. Act quick to get your space!
Sail at 5:00pm
When the Clearwater is not out sailing, she will be tied alongside the Mary Whalen; an added feature of PortSide’s TankerTime.
More about the Clearwater from their website “In 1966, folk music legend and environmental activist Pete Seeger, in despair over the pollution of his beloved Hudson River, announced plans to “build a boat to save the river.” Seeger, along with many other concerned individuals, believed that a majestic replica of the sloops that sailed the Hudson in the 18th and 19th centuries would bring people to the river where they could experience its beauty and be moved to preserve it.”
