Our annual permit for 2025 was ony finalized by our landlord, the NYC EDC, on June 24; so we are running late planning summer programs. Please check back for updates. The ship deck is open most days of the week; for any changes, please visit webpage TankerTime. Until we get building space, the interior of the ship has our offices and program space, so we open it to the public only a few times a year. You can schedule a group tour using our webpage Contact.

We are pleased to announce the return of Second Saturday TankerTime Community Potluck BBQ, 7 to 11 pm.

Enjoy the main deck of PortSide's historic ship, the tanker MARY A. WHALEN. BYOB. Bring prepared food or BBQ here. We provide 4 grills and charcoal. Lounge in a hammock. Stretch out in a lounge chair, immerse yourself in the maritime ambiance of our location. Musicians are encouraged to come. We now have a Casio keyboard!

Earlier this day, PortSide’s will participate in City of Water Day, 1:00  to 5:00 PM.
