Author Sally Francis will be reading from her debut novel Carol Gardens Story, a whodunit novel set in late 1990s Carroll Gardens.

Carol Gardens, the Brooklyn neighborhood up the hill from PortSide’s Mary Whalen, is Sally Francis’s longtime neighborhood. Her fiction has appeared in Persimmontree.org, Belletrist Magazine, and several anthologies. A retired clinical social worker, her deep study of trauma and resilience informs the heart of her storytelling.
